MLB Pickups of the Day for September 24

  • For those of you still locked in trying to win some fantasy money, let’s begin the prep for next week. It’s been such a fun fantasy season this year with the new MLB rules, and the wire has been popping all year long. Let’s get into business, folks.

Reese Olson (SP, Tigers, 27% Owned Yahoo)

Reese Olson has absolutely been going bonkers on the bump for the Tigers, putting up a 1.50 era, 0.80 whip, 28 Ks and 3 wins in his lasting 30 frames. Reese is lined up for a two start week against Kansas City and Cleveland this upcoming week, and he’s been a must add for me for awhile in any setting where I need volume. His statcast doesn’t scream stud, but the actual stats have been there. Reese is someone I’ll be targeting as a SP in 2024 drafts.

Johan Rojas (OF Phillies, 9% Owned Yahoo)

Johan Rojas is a steals category specialist that is widely available. Rojas has nabbed 14 steals in 134 at bats and has offered a .299 batting average, 21 runs and 21 rbi, showing some 4 category upside. Rojas put up 159 stolen bases in 1698 minor league at bats. He is within the top 100 over the last 14 days in standard cat leagues by slashing .353 with 5 SB, 7 runs, and 3 rbi. He’s in a good lineup too, add this man where you need stolen bags.
