This episode covers that and a little bit of the Damian Lillard trade to Milwaukee, no predictions here, just excitement over what could be with this beautiful roster full of veteran and Baby Lakers!

LakersCast: Lakers are Locked and Loaded for the…

https://stream.redcircle.com/episodes/333bcd0e-458e-465b-bc78-65dfa2e913af/stream.mp3 The last episode we recorded was rejoicing in the moves the Lakers made during free agency retaining Austin Reaves, bringing in Taurean Prince, Cam Reddish and Jaxson Hayes. Things have only gotten better since.…

Lakerscast: The Lakers Kill it in Free Agency!

Move over Dumbledore, Rob Pelinka is throwing his hat into the ring to be the new king of the wizarding world with the work he’s done in NBA Free Agency. With the rest of the league spending like drunken sailors, Pelinka and the Lakers front office identified their guys, made their pitch, and kept the books clean to build a roster around LeBron and AD that actually makes sense. Ethan is back to deliver his take on the signings, what else the Lakers need, and to give some of his best and worst of the league-wide spending spree so far. It’s the league’s second season and we LOVE it in Lakerland!

Lakers ’23 Offseason begins

https://stream.redcircle.com/episodes/80100d1a-61d2-46b1-b36f-550584eb40ca/stream.mp3 The NBA season is over, the Denver Nuggets are your NBA Champions, let the off-season begin! JC takes you through where his mind is as far as this Lakers team is, what the Lakers…

Lakers Eliminated by Denver. Success or Failure of…

https://stream.redcircle.com/episodes/21a67cb8-df82-4597-9b7a-4eb795e5a896/stream.mp3 The up and down season is over, and not on a positive note but a nebulous one. After a 4-0 sweep by the Denver Nuggets, suddenly LeBron looks old and is talking retirement. Anthony…

Lakers’ Point Guards Go MIA, Season on the…

Let’s just call it what it appears to be: The Lakers have run out of gas. D’Angelo Russell and Dennis Schroder have been more invisible than Casper, Jamal Murray is hotter than a sizzling fajita skillet at your favorite Mexican restaurant, and when Nikola Jokic is a footnote and the Lakers still can’t figure it out, it’s not a good sign for what’s about to come. The Lakers are caught somewhere in between thinking about what’s next and trying to stay present to take at least one game in these Western Conference Finals, but it’s going to take more than just Anthony Davis or LeBron James—or even Austin Reaves—for LA to have it their way at least one time vs. a better Denver team. The Nuggets are talented, deep, connected, and that’s what has the Lakers on life support as they try desperately not to have their season ended on Monday in a four-game sweep. Ethan returns on a solo ride to discuss what has happened to the Lakers, offer some potential perspective, and how the Lakers can get back into the series one game at a time.

Lakers Slay Warriors to Prove They Belong in…

The Lakers are now four wins away from reaching the NBA Finals, and eight wins away from securing another championship. As our old friend Shaquille O’Neal would say: “CAN YOU DIG IT?!” LeBron might be the third oldest player in the league, but he continues to show why he’s unlike anyone or anything we have ever seen. Anthony Davis turned a couple of narratives on their heads, Austin Reaves is back to being HIM, and Dennis Schroder starring as the irritant is exactly what this Lakers group needs to continue to play cohesive basketball. Ethan and JC link up to discuss the second-round win, the Warriors immediate future, and how the Lakers can look to replicate their success vs. Golden State as they move on to the No. 1 seeded Denver Nuggets. Get out the sweet and sour sauce for what should be a juicy Western Conference Finals ahead.

Lakers Are a Win Away From the Western…

Lakers are one win from the Western Conference Finals! From a 2-10 start to the season to the brink of the Western Conference Finals. Who would have thought? JC takes you through the win last night and the masterful night off the bench for Lonnie Walker IV, a night off the bench no one's seen since one Kobe Bean Bryant did it way back in '97. A lot more in this episode, you won't want to miss it. JC congratulates Alex Caruso on a huge honor, talks about potential off-season moves for the Warriors and the Lakers and he even yells at a dog! You'll have to listen to that to believe it.

Lakers Take Game 1 vs Golden State

Lakers came out in full force in Game 1 vs the Golden State Warriors in a hardfought 117-112 victory that easily could've gone either way. Anthony Davis continues to be a dominant, Shaq-like force to the tune of a 30/20 game with 4 blocks. Jarred Vanderbilt made life as difficult as one can vs Steph Curry (Steph still hit a few threes) but was admirable in his effort. JC takes you through the first game in a solo episode of the pod. Enjoy!

Lakers Whoop That Trick, Griddy on Grizzlies to…

“If you ever see me fighting in the forest with a Grizzly bear, HELP THE BEAR!” The Lakers are heading to the second round on the cusp of a 40 (!) point win, and the only thing fans are still waiting for is Dillon Brooks to say something to the “media that made him a villain.” D’Angelo Russell was sensational, Anthony Davis enjoyed his non-championship Lakers signature moment, and LeBron James reminded everyone that he is still very much that dude. Ethan is back on a solo ride to wrap it up from Round 1, look ahead to Round 2, and to provide purposeful prose to give the Lakers — and their fans — their flowers.

Lakers In Drivers Seat After Game 1 Win?

https://stream.redcircle.com/episodes/6a775a6f-2bf9-4bb3-ade2-c54e0a25c021/stream.mp3 The emotions have been digested, Anthony Davis does not have a career-ending injury, and the Lakers are suddenly appear to be in the driver’s seat following a Game 1 road win in Memphis. Ahead…

Bring on the Grizzlies!

The Lakers are in! The playoffs are officially underway and the Los Angeles Lakers will take on the upstart Memphis Grizzlies. After a disappointing win (can a win ever really be disappointing?) against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Lakers have a lot to work on. What can Lakers fans look forward to seeing in this series against the Grizzlies? JC has the answers in this solo celebration of the Lakers having turned around a 2-10 start to the season.

Lakers Are Nearing the Finish Line (And Into…

https://stream.redcircle.com/episodes/ce526f38-0dd5-4e46-8e70-5505a7f6a3aa/stream.mp3 Anthony Davis is in his bag, the Lakers are finding their stride, and a possibility to win-out has Los Angeles with eyes on playing out of the play-in to begin their 2023 postseason journey.…

LakersCast: Are the Lakers Ready For the Stretch…

The Lakers are entering the final 9 games of the season. 9 must-win games. Can they win them all? Heaven knows, but what we do know for sure is that J.C. De Leon will go over how The Lakers have looked lately, go over the schedule for the remainder of the regular season as well as look at the schedules for the teams hovering in that 4 through 12 range of the wacky Western conference standings. Enjoy!
